Launch Pad is a radical new approach designed to encourage all kinds of people in the North East to set up in business or to create new social enterprises. The organisation responsible for Launch Pad, the North East Enterprise Bond, is a registered charity which aims to positively influence the culture of and attitudes within the region towards enterprise and being entrepreneurial.

We need many thousands of enterprises if the North easts economy is to catch up with the rest of the uk. We believe our people are as talented and as hard working as any and we can make a significant difference with our new approach.

We take te help right into the heart of our communities. By taking our message to the streeets we intend to foster a real 'can do' attitude. Many people never even consider starting their own business, considering it to be too difficult or bizzarely, not even a 'proper job'. Others, involved in the 'informal ecconomy' may be reluctant to ligitimise what they do. It is by and large, a matter of educating people.
